Alert with Virus Email

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please note that Liberty Reserve payment system, is very secure and is being monitored and tested daily by McAfee and other companies to maintain its stellar security. The only way for someone to have full access to your account is for someone to have access to your e-mail or computer via trojan or virus, or once you visit a malicious web site that is setup to collect login information of account holders. Also, please be aware that Liberty Reserve never sends out any links via e-mail.

There is no point in resetting your account access or creating a new account if your computer is compromised. The first thing for you to do would be to make sure that your computer is safe (we recommend Kaspersky Internet Suite or NOD32). There are also many online anti-virus scanners that can help.

Next, if you are able to access your account, we would strongly recommend changing all the passwords and disabling API/SCI merchant tools if they were enabled by someone who accessed your account. We recommend changing your e-mail password too. Please use different passwords for different web sites.

In case you are not able to access your account, we can reset access to your account and send new information to your email.

In order to do that we will need to verify that you are a real owner of this account. In order for us to release any information regarding accounts where the funds were transfered to you will need to provide a valid court order.

Please let us know if we may assist you further.

Sincerely,
Sandro.

Help

PINs, Passwords and Custom Welcome Message

Liberty Reserve has several layers of protection to help you protect your money from hackers.

Login Pin:

Is the first security layer. Login PIN is a 4-5 digit Personal ID code. You create this PIN during your account registration. You use this PIN to login to your wallet or your main account.

Login PIN cannot be typed, copy/pasted or inserted with a password management software. It can only be entered by clicking on the virtual keypad with your mouse. This prevents keyloggers to log the keys from your keyboard.

Password:

Is the second security layer. Password should be at least 6 characters long and contain both numbers and letters. The longer your password - the harder it would be for others to guess it. You create password during account registration. Password is used on the second part of our account login system.

Password can be typed or entered via virtual keyboard with your mouse.

Custom Welcome Message (CWM):

Is a part of the second security layer. CWM is a custom text that you write when you create your account. This message will be presented to you in the second part of account login when you are prompted to enter your password. Before you enter the password, you must make sure that the welcome message you see is the one that you wrote earlier. If you see a different message, then you have entered a website that was made to look like Liberty Reserve to steal your password and PIN codes. Leave that web site immediately. Scan your computer with an anti-virus software and e-mail us to make sure no one else has accessed your account.

Master Key:

Is the third security layer. Master Key is a three digit number that is used in the most important areas of your Liberty Reserve account: payment form, wallet load form and profile update form. Master Key is generated automatically when your account registration is complete. Master Key can only be entered by clicking with your mouse on a virtual keypad.

Three wrong attempts to enter Master Key will cause your account to be blocked for an hour and notification e-mail to be sent to you. If you have received such e-mail, but you have not tried to enter Master Key, please use the 'Stop Account' feature immediately to temporarily freeze your account and contact us for further instructions
